Proto Man (ブルース, Burūsu?, Blues) was the early prototype of Megaman. Proto Man first appeared in Megaman 3 as Break Man. In Megaman 3, Proto Man helps train Mega Man by fighting him. Proto Man also known as Blues, featured as either an enemy or an ally in many games. He also appears as a playable character for the first time in a non-spin off game in the remake of the very first Mega Man game, Mega Man: Powered Up, for Playstation Portable. He will also be playable in Mega Man 9 as downloadable content. The design for the Sniper Joe enemies, was taken from Proto Man's.
