Megaman was once a servant robot along with his sister Roll and his creator Dr. Light. However, when Light's Assistant, Dr. Wily attacked places in the city, Megaman, (Known as Rock) volunteered to be converted for combat, that is when he became Megaman. Then, he went up against Dr. Wily and his army of robots.

After a few months, after Wily surrendered, the doctor wanted to act revenge on the robot by creating 8 of his own robots, but Megaman prevailed once again.

A year after, Megaman went after Wily again after he sabotaged a peace robot named "Gamma", during this fight, he ran into a mysterious robot named Protoman his long, lost brother. But, he proceeded to defeat Wily, and he did, and with some help from Protoman.

After that, a Russian scientist named Dr. Cossack had created 8 of his on robots to attack Megaman, since his daughter, Kalinka as kidnapped, Cossack believed it to be Megaman. Then Kalinka as rescued by Protoman, and found out that it was Dr. Wily.

Then, there was another attack on the city, and Dr. Light was captured, the culprit was Protoman. Megaman fought against his brother's army, and only to find out that it was again Dr. Wily trying to frame Protoman, the robot defeated the doctor again.

Then, there was a robot tournament, when there ere only 8 competitors left, the originator named "Mr. X" reprogrammed them to conquer the world. Megaman reluctantly competes in the tournament to try to stop Mr. X, only to find out that it is again Dr. Wily, but, Megaman succeeds in capturing and imprisoning the power hungry doctor, but a few months later his latest creations came to life and freed their master, and another warrior robot Bass fought Megaman, at first Bass was an ally, but then showed his true colors after he gained access to Dr. Light's lab. Megaman fought both Bass and Wily, but they escaped.

Then, Bass attacked the city again, but was defeated easily by Megaman, then he received a message from Dr. Light telling him to investigate a crash site, but when he got there, he found Dr. Wily who beat him to whatever crashed to Earth. Then, another robot named Duo came to Earth, after a brief battle, Duo and Megaman allied and journeyed to find and defeat Dr. Wily. After Megaman's battle with the doctor, Megaman was filled with the energy that was inside the stone, but Duo syphioned it out of Megaman, causing him to regain consciousness.

Then, after yet another attack on the city, Dr. Wily said that this is not his doing this time, it was Dr. Light who led to the attack on the city, and was imprisoned for it. Megaman is now on the journey to defeat the robot masters and to clear Dr. Light's name.

MegaMan is the Navi that you can control in the games. He is operated by Lan, a sixth grader living in ACDC Town. MegaMan is actually Lan's twin, but died at birth. Lan's father kept MegaMan's DNA, and the invented the PET for MegaMan. This started all of the Navis, and battling between them (fun, competitive, or life/death). MegaMan has had to save the world many times (with Lan), and has been tempted by the Dark Chips in Battle Network 4, 5, and 6.

MegaMan has a dark side, that Nebula has tried to unleash numerous times, and has been successful. MegaMan can withstand it though, and always comes to. He beats numerous enemies, friend, and others in the games.

He is known as Rockman in some parts of the world.
