Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace, know as Shooting Star Rockman 3 in Japan, is an action role-playing game released on November 13, 2008 in Japan and on June 30, 2009 for North America. Mega Man Star Force 3: Black Ace is the third installment to the starforce series along with Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker. Each version has 10 noise forms, 5 common in Black Ace, and 5 rare forms also for Black Ace.

The game follows as usuall as the other Star Force games as you control Geo Stelar in the physical world, as well as exploring in the wave world by EM wave changing with Omega-Xis. In the pyshical world, Geo is limited to talking to people and examinging objects. He can only see the wave world through a pair of glasses called the visualizer given to him by Kelvin Stelar.
