[edit] Version Differences

The only main differences between the Blue and White versions are in Blue MegaMan fights BowlMan and in White MegaMan fights MistMan for Undernet rank #2, and in Blue MegaMan and Lan can fight Punk and Mr. Famous, while in White they cannot. There are also some minor differences, such as the chips you can buy from shops. As stated above, this guide will only cover the shop lists from Blue version.

[edit] Walkthough

Note: In order to save time later on in the game, it is recommended that you hold on to all aqua and fire-based chips you come across. They will be needed in bulk later on in the game.

1BN3.png

[SciLab Virus Lab]
When the game first starts, you will find yourself in the new SciLab Virus Lab. Walk around and talk to everyone in the room who will give you basic advice on how to play the game. After talking to the boy below you, you will receive an e-mail. After talking to everyone, your teacher, Ms. Mari, will gather everyone and give a lesson on virus busting. Press R to send MegaMan into the Cyberworld.

3BN3.png
They start you off pretty easily. Just choose the two cannons and wait to use them until Mettaurs are in the same row as you.

  • Battle #2: Mettaur x 3 (40 HP)
4BN3.png
Choose AreaGrab and Widesword and use Areagrab immediately. Move up to the front and use Widesword while standing in the middle row to take out the first two Mettaurs. When the custom gauge fills up, press L or R and choose a cannon to take out the last one.

  • Battle #3: Mettaur x 3 (40 HP)
5BN3.png
You have no choice but to choose the three Recovery 10s and press the 'Add' button. Just avoid the Mettaurs' attacks for the first turn, then when the custom gauge fills up, choose three cannons and finish them off.

After completing these tutorials, Yai will invite you to her home page along with Dex and Mayl for a chat.

[Class 5-A]
You will gain control in Lan's classroom. Jack into the blackboard at the front of the room and run to the top left corner to pick up a RegUP1. Jack out and go talk to Dex, Yai, and Mayl. Mayl is located right next to the blackboard and Dex and Yai are located in the back left corner of the room. Exit the school.

9BN3.png

[ACDC Town]
Walk over to the playground and a cutscene will happen where a DNN Producer approaches you and tells you to partake in the N1 Grand Prix tournament. After this, head over to Lan's house and jack into the doghouse next to it. Get the Barrier L chip in the top left corner, then jack out. Enter Lan's house.

[Lan's House]
Talk to your mom, then head up to your room. You will receive an e-mail from Dex telling you to go to ACDC Square. Jack into Lan's computer.

[ACDC Area 1]
Run into the warp at the end of Lan's homepage. Pick in the MiniEnrg bottom left corner of the area, then take the yellow path to the next area.

[ACDC Area 2]
Continue to follow the yellow path. Take one of the connecting paths to pick up 800 Zenny, and go to the large white area at the right side of the map to get a CopyDmg *. If you continue on the yellow road, you will see GutsMan on a path branching off near the entrance to ACDC 3. If you take this path, you will come up to a Net Dealer.

Item Price
HP Memory 1000 Zennies
HP Memory 3000 Zennies
Bubbler E x 3 600 Zennies
Recov30 F x 3 800 Zennies
AreaGrab * 1200 Zennies
DashAtk C 1400 Zennies

Pick up whatever items you want then head to ACDC Area 3.

[ACDC Area 3]
Go to the left corner of the area and grab the LongSwrd E (Hold onto this chip!). Continue back on the yellow road and enter into ACDC Square.

[ACDC Square]
First thing of note: There is another Net Dealer here.

Item Price
HP Memory 2000 Zennies
HP Memory 5000 Zennies
Invis * x 3 600 Zennies
MetlStge D x 3 3000 Zennies
ElecSwrd N 3800 Zennies
CustSwrd B 5000 Zennies

After you pick up whatever you want, talk to the Green Navi at the right corner of the square. He asks MegaMan a series of questions and to answer you must find the correct data (true or false) on the Net.

  • Question 1: Red means stop.
Leave the square and head to the upper right part of ACDC Area 3. Pick up the O Data and the PanlOut3 *, then head back to the square.
  • Question 2: A ton of lead is heavier than a ton of feathers.
Leave the square and head to ACDC 2. Go to the white area where you picked up the CopyDmg * chip and grab the X Data. Head back to the square.
  • Question 3: Adding every number from 1 to 10 gives 54.
Jack out, then jack back in. The X data is located near the warp to your homepage. Pick it up then head back to the square.

After talking to the green navi again, a cutscene will occur and you will receive YaiCode. This will let you enter Yai's homepage. Jack out.

[Lan's House]
Talk to your mom, then head back up and jack back into your computer. Head to ACDC Area 2.

[ACDC Area 2]
Find the security cube located around the middle of ACDC 2. Use YaiCode to make the cube disappear, and enter the warp.

[Yai's Homepage]
Pick up the RegUP2 and SideGun S before talking to your friends. After talking to everyone, a cutscene will occur and Dex will realize he forgot his homework at school.

[ACDC Town]
Go to the gate of ACDC Elementary School. Your friends will say that the gate is locked and that you should go unlock it. Head back to your house and jack in. Go to ACDC 2.

[ACDC Area 2]
Go back to the large white area and press A on the key-like object. This will open the gates at the school and you will receive an e-mail. Head back to the school.

[ACDC Elementary]
Head left and then through the doors to class 5-A.

[Class 5-A]
Head to the back where the lockers are and check the books between the two sections of lockers. You will find Dex's disk. Go back to the lobby of the school and head right instead this time to the teacher's lounge.

[Teacher's Lounge]
Head towards the door in the corner of the room and a cutscene will occur where Mayl, Dex, and Yai become hypnotized. At this point, head to the server at the back of the teachers lounge and jack in. Pick up the HP Memory and Rockcube *, then jack out.

[ACDC Elementary]
Head back toward class 5-A. Talk to Mayl to get Roll R. Head into your class' hallway and talk to Yai. Then enter your classroom and talk to Dex. MegaMan will then tell you to get something that can block the hypnotizing flash. Head to class 5-B.

[Class 5-B]
Pick up the Parasol off of the desk and head back to the Principal's office. A cutscene will occur and Lan will jack into the Principal's PC.

[Prncp's PC Area 1]
Head along the path to the area where three doors are blocking the way. Talk to the program. MegaMan will then have you go turn on light switches. Go to class 5-B.

[Class 5-B]
Switch on the light. This will cause the lights to start flickering in the Principal's PC, which allows you to see mystery data.

[Prncp's PC Area 1]
Grab the mystery data for 600 Zennies. Find the blue platform and pick up the mystery data for KeydataA. If you go by the entrance, you will find a RegUP1. Go back to the area with the three doors and open the one to the right. Follow this path but do NOT take the first mystery data you see -- it's a trap. The second mystery data you see is KeydataB. Use this to open up the door to the left of the platform where the three doors were. The first data is once again a trap, but the second one is Recov10 *. The third data is KeydataC. Use this to open up the last door and continue to the next area.

[Prncp's PC Area 2]
Follow the path and talk to the navi. You will once again have to turn on some lights in the real world. Head to the Teacher's Lounge.

[Teacher's Lounge]
Turn on the light switch next to the blackboard. This will turn on the lights in the computer as well.

[Prncp's PC Area 2]
Take the 1200 Zennies off of the platform you are currently on. Head down to the red area, then head left. You will find PasswrdC. Head back to the red area and take the path leading to the large area on the left side of the map. Pick up the Spreader P chip, then take the other path connecting to the large area. Pick up only the top mystery data for PasswrdB -- the bottom is, again, a trap. Go back to the red platform and take the final path. Take the right side of the fork in the road, and follow the path to get both an HP Memory and Passwrd A. Head all the way back to the door and unlock it. Save the game here. When you are ready, continue along the path to FlashMan.

Stay in the back of your side of the field so you have time to move out of the way when he uses his Neon Light attack, and so that he cannot attack you with his Spark Arm attack. As soon as he summons lightbulbs, be sure to destroy them ASAP or they will paralyze you and he will attack. This is a pretty straight-forward boss fight and should not be too much of a problem.

[Teacher's Lounge]
After defeating him, you will end up in the Teacher's Lounge. Your friends will approach you and you all will leave the school.

[ACDC Town]
You will receive an e-mail from Dex when you leave the school. He will give you DexCode and challenge you to a NetBattle in the park because he can't sleep.

  • (Optional) Boss: GutsMan (300 HP)
GutsMan's main attack consists of him smashing the ground and creating shockwaves that move down the rows. They aren't very hard to avoid until he begins to smash your side and crack the panels. Be careful of this. Also, stay away from the front row to avoid his GutPunch. This is a very easy fight if you simply break the panel in front of you and stand behind it.

Defeating GutsMan will get you the GutsMan G chip. And with that, the first arc of the game is complete. Head back to Lan's house and go to sleep.

BeastMan Arc

BeastMan Arc

You will watch a relatively long cutscene. The first part of it shows Dr. Wily talking to one of his minions, and the second part will show a child exit the Metroline and enter ACDC Town looking lost. Finally, Lan will notice that MegaMan has been acting strange since his battle with FlashMan. When you regain control, you will be in Lan's room. Exit outside.

[ACDC Town]
Walk over to the Metroline. Talk to Yai and Mayl, then talk to the kid in front of the Metroline, who claims he is looking for the #1 NetBattler in ACDC Town. Head over to ACDC Elementary. Head to your classroom.

[Class 5-A]
Talk to Dex who is sitting in the classroom. Turns out, the little boy is Dex's younger brother Chisao, and Dex described himself as the #1 NetBattler to him. Lol. Head back to the Metroline entrance.

[ACDC Town]
There will be a cutscene and you will be forced into battling GutsMan, only this time he's a lot stronger.

This fight is definitely a lot tougher than the last fight with GutsMan, if only because he has 400 more HP. Use the exact same strategy as last time. Use broken panels to your advantage; simply hide behind them and GutsMan will be unable to hit you. You are not required to win this fight, but if you do, you are awarded with GutsManV2 G, which is a really good chip for this point in the game.

After the fight, head into the Metroline and pick up a SciPass. Head to the SciLab.

[SciLab]
Head over to the vending machine in the bottom corner and jack in. Pick up the RegUP2 to the right, and feel free to gamble with the green navi. You can win 6400 Zennies and Prism H, but it is incredibly difficult and completely up to chance. Jack out when you are done.

Head over to the door to the Virus Lab and jack into the panel right next to it. Pick up the AirShoes * chip and the 700 Zennies, then jack out and take the elevator upstairs.

[Dad's Lab]
Lan's dad seems to be busy, as always. Talk to the scientist in front of the computer and give him your PET. He will give you a SubPET. You will then receive an e-mail from Dex, saying that he set up a shortcut from his homepage to the ACDC Square. Sweet. Head back downstairs.

[SciLab]
The same DNN producer from earlier approaches you as you exit the elevator. He says the next round of the N1 Grand Prix preliminaries are happening and gives you the CSciPass. After he leaves, you will notice it is now possible to take requests on the Request BBS, though there are only two. Go back to the Metroline and head to ACDC Town.

[ACDC Town]
Head to Dex's house and jack into his computer.

[Dex's HP]
When you first enter, there is a shortcut to ACDC Square and a 200 Zenny mystery data to your right. Head left from the warp and follow the path. Pick up the GutPunch B chip in the left corner, then head right and take the warp to ACDC Area 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
Unlock the security cube, then take the path up to get WideSwrd L. Then take the path down to get to the Cyber Station. Use the CSciPass to go to SciLab Area 2.

[SciLab Area 2]
Head up the stairs and follow the yellow path. Take one of the branching paths to come to a small clearing and pick up the RegUP2 there. Get back to the main path and take it through the gate and into the Square.

[SciLab Square]
Feel free to check out the shop when you enter.

Item Price
HP Memory 2000 Zennies
HP Memory 4000 Zennies
HP Memory 8000 Zennies
Mole1 * x 3 1000 Zennies
Tornado C x 3 3000 Zennies
AntiDmg M 3800 Zennies
TimeBomb K 5200 Zennies

Pick up whatever you want, then talk to the Navi in the section of the square on the right. You will have to fight a three round survival battle.

  • Battle #1: Bunny (40 HP), Mettaur (40 HP), Ratty (40 HP)
Try to take out the Ratty first, as it is the most annoying virus. Th Bunny should them come next, as its attack is fast and can be hard to avoid at times.
  • Battle #2: Canodumb (60 HP) x 2, Mettaur2 (60 HP)
Take out the Mettaur2 first, as it is the only virus that can move. The Canodumbs are not difficult to take out.
  • Battle #3: Mettaur2 (60 HP), EyeBall (80 HP), Canodumb (60 HP)
Take out the EyeBall ASAP, before it reaches your panel. As you try to take out EyeBall, be careful of the Mettaur2's sonic wave. The Canodumb can be saved for last.

You will then have to go find an evil navi in the SciLab Area. Head to SciLab2.

[SciLab Area 2]
Go down and to the right and go through the green gate. Follow the path and cross the arrow panels. Be sure to pick up the GrabBack A. Then head into SciLab 1.

[SciLab Area 1]
Follow the yellow road until you reach a large area. Talk to the evil-looking Navi in the middle of it and he will tell you that MegaMan's inability to act has ruined a live TV show. Head back to SciLab 2.

[SciLab Area 2]
Follow the path and go across the arrow panels and past the green gate. Head in a downward direction until you see the evil purple Navi is there. Talk to him again and he will send viruses for you to fight.

  • Battle: Ratty x 3 (40 HP)
Shoot their attacks with your Mega Buster as it can get to be very difficult to avoid all of them. If possible, try to take each of them out in one hit because if it takes multiple hits, they begin to speed up and attack more frequently.

Head back to SciLab Square after the battle.

[SciLab Square]
Talk to the Navi again. He tells you to head back to the ACDC Area and gives you the CACDCPas. Before you do that though, head to SciLab 2.

[SciLab Area 2]
Go to the Cyber Station then head left to SciLab 1.

[SciLab Area 1]
Follow the path to the big white area. Pick up the mystery data, an Invis *. Nice. Head back to the Cyber Station and take it to ACDC 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
Once you are here, head through ACDC 1 and ACDC 3 to ACDC 2.

[ACDC Area 2]
Talk to the Official Navi by the large white area. He will challenge you with a three-round survival battle.

  • Battle #1: Quaker (80 HP), Fishy (90 HP)
Try to take out the Quaker first, as the shock wave he produces will leave you unable to move for a short period of time, which could be bad news with the Fishy's Dash attack. The fishy will not be too hard to take out after.
  • Battle #2: Mettaur2 (60 HP), Boomer (70 HP), HardHead (60 HP)
Take out the Mettaur2 first, as it is the easiest to take out and will only be an annoyance for the rest of the fight. Try to take out the HardHead next before it can break the two inner panels. The Boomer will then be the only one left, and you can only take it out when it does not have its boomerang in its mouth.
  • Battle #3:" Fishy (90 HP), Spikey x 2 (90 HP)
Stand toward the back of your area so you can better avoid each of their attacks. Try to take out the Fishy first as it is the fastest. After this, the two Spikeys aren't too hard to take out.

After the fight, there will be a cutscene that involves Lan's PET glitching out. MegaMan will be unable to use chips or jack out, so you need to find your way back to a warp where you can jack out. Head to ACDC Square and take Dex's shortcut, the jack out from Dex's HP.

[Dex's House]
Head back to Lan's house and go to sleep. After resting, you will wake up and realize that you've overslept. Nothing out of the ordinary. Head to school.

[Yoka]
After a scene, you will find yourself at the Yoka Zoo. Well, actually, the zoo is closed today. That's rough. Go to the left and enter the Ura Inn.

[Ura Inn]
Go straight to the back of the building where the bath is. A long cutscene will occur and afterwards it will be the next morning. You will receive an e-mail from your father. He says he has fixed your PET and included the Navi Customizer. Watch the tutorial and follow his instructions.

After this, head to the TV in your room and jack in. Pick up the Unlocker in the right corner, then jack out. Exit the room and you will receive an e-mail. Head to the front of the Zoo.

[Yoka Zoo Entrance]
First thing's first -- jack into the counter where the tickets are being sold and pick up the RegUP1 in the upper right corner. Jack out and enter the Zoo.

[Yoka Zoo 1]
Go to the upper left corner and check the trash can for a Repair *. Then, check the machines for each animal's enclosure. Head to the second part of the Zoo.

[Yoka Zoo 2]
Check all of the animals here as well, then head back and talk to Dex. After this, check the Lion's den. A cutscene occurs, and it turns out the Lions have escaped from their cage! As Lan looks around, he notices all of the animals are escaping from their cages. Chisao is then grabbed by the condor and taken away. Use the path next to the Panda enclosure to get to the first part of the Zoo.

[Yoka Zoo 1]
Try to exit through the fence above the house on the left side of the map. This path will lead you to the outdoor bath. Go through the hotel.

[Ura Inn Lobby]
Jack into the armor and pick up the SubMem, then jack back out. Head to the front of the Zoo.

[Front of the Zoo]
A cutscene will occur, now Chisao is on top of the electrical tower. Head back into the Zoo to the second area.

[Yoka Zoo 2]
Go through the path to the left of the Panda. When Lan cannot be seen, hit the R button and you will jack into an alarm. Pick up the RegUP1 and Geyser B, then jack out. Walk down a bit then jack into the Panda's computer.

[Zoo Comp 1]
Follow the path and go right when there is a crossroad. Pick up the mystery data, 1000 Zennies. Go back to where the road splits and go the other way. When you come to the area with the program on it, head left and pick up the mystery data, Geddon1 D. Continue straight and talk to the virus. Go back to the area with the program and head down to get the cat program. Take it back to the Mettaur and it will explode. Continue onward until you come across another platform with multiple programs. Take a right and pick up a mystery data with an HPMemry. Check the Mettaur, then go back and pick up the Snake program. The snake program will destroy the virus and you will be able to enter Zoo Comp 2.

[Zoo Comp 2]
Walk straight ahead to the Mettaur. Go back and pick up the program in the middle to destroy it. Continue on, picking up the Charge+1 mystery data to your right and the 600 Zennies. You will reach an area with two platforms. Talk to the virus and pick up the banana program on the upper platform. Have the program destroy the virus, then follow the path until you reach two viruses blocking your path and talk to them. Go back and pick up the ball program. Destroy the first Mettaur, then talk to the second one and go back. Pick up the otter program and bring it back to destroy the Mettaur and move onto area 3.

[Zoo Comp 3]
Follow the path until you reach a virus. Talk to it, then take a left and pick up the Recov30 *. Be sure to hold onto this chip so you can complete the second request at SciLab. Go pick up the beaver program to destroy the virus. Head forward and take your second left to get a Cannon C. Go back and take the first left to get 800 Zennies. Take the next right to find two panda viruses. If you head past the programs, you can pick up the Navi Customizer program SneakRun. Pick up the bamboo and tire programs. Destroy the viruses, then continue on and take a right. There will be a Mongoose virus blocking the way. Go back an pick up the Cobra program. The Mettaur behind that one is a jar-like virus. Go pick up the octopus program, and head to area 4.

[Zoo Comp 4]
When you enter area 4, take a left and then another left to get a RegUP2. Head back to find a monkey and peanut virus. Taking a right will land you in front of a parrot virus. Go up and take two rights to find a Navi Customizer program, HP+100. Find the tongue-twister program and take it to the parrot. Pick up the walnut and chestnut programs and return to the first two viruses. After this, follow the path to a fork and take a left to pick up a Hammer T. Go back and take the other path to bump into three viruses. Pick up the Tiger, Sheep, and Dog programs to get rid of them. After taking them out, save the game before carrying on. There is a pretty tricky boss fight coming up. Once prepared, continue on.

There will be a short cutscene. Turns out Takeo Inukai, the director of the Zoo, installed chips in each of the animals when he began working at the zoo and he decided to make them all go crazy in the name of WWW. He fights you with his navi, BeastMan.

BeastMan is a very fast enemy, which is what makes him pretty difficult to take out at this point of the game. I would highly recommend using ZapRing to paralyze him and any swords to hurt him when he comes into your area and appears in front of you. It's best to learn his attacks and how he fights to build your own strategy to fight him.

After the fight, you will end up at the front of the zoo and there will be a cutscene. Onto the next arc!

[edit]

BubbleMan Arc

BubbleMan Arc

You will start the arc out at school in Lan's classroom.

[Class 5-A]
Talk to all of your friends in the room. You will receive an e-mail from Higsby. Read it, then head out to Higsby's.

[Higsby's Chip Shop]
Talk to Higsby, then jack into the NumberMan cutout. Pick up the HPMemry, then jack out. Read the e-mail you had just received, it's from Yai. She just opened up a link from her HP to the SciLab Square. Sweet. Head to the Metroline.

[ACDC Town Metroline]
Talk to the businessman, who will ask you to pick up his briefcase from the Ura Inn in Yoka. Head to the Inn.

[Ura Inn]
Take the briefcase from off the table in the bottom left corner of the room you stayed in with your class. Head back to ACDC Station.

[ACDC Town Metroline]
Talk to the businessman again and give him the briefcase. He will give you OrderSys. Take this item back to Higsby. He then wants you to hunt down a Navi who didn't pay him for chips that he bought. Head to your house and jack in.

[ACDC Area 1]
The evil Navi is to the left when you enter the area. He will (obviously) attack you with viruses.

  • Battle: SnowBlow (100 HP), Canodumb x 2 (60 HP)
Try to take out the SnowBlow first, then the rest of the fight is a piece of cake.

He gives you the 1000 Zennies after the fight. Jack out and head back to Higsby's.

[Higsby's]
Give Higsby his 1000 Zennies. He will then ask you to deliver a Ratton1 C chip to SciLab 2. Head over to Yai's house and jack into her PC. Go through the new shortcut she created, and you'll end up in the SciLab square. Go straight to SciLab 2.

[SciLab Area 2]
Talk to the Navi right near you when you come out of the square, then jack out and head back to Higsby's.

[Higsby's]
Talk to Higsby, who will give you Snake R. You will then receive an e-mail saying that the N1 Grand Prix preliminaries are being held again today in a secret location. They give the hint "Enemy of viruses; cyber square; yellow". Go to Yai's house and jack into her computer. Take her shortcut to SciLab square.

[SciLab Square]
Talk to the orange Navi, who will give you the CYokaPas for a LongSwrd E (which you should still be holding onto from earlier). Head to the cyber metro in SciLab 2 and take it to Yoka Square.

[Yoka Square]
Head down the ramp into Yoka Square. Feel free to check out the shop here.

Item Price
HP Memory 4000 Zennies
HP Memory 8000 Zennies
HP Memory 12000 Zennies
Needler1 J 3200 Zennies
BambSwrd P 3500 Zennies
Lance Z 4000 Zennies
Shake1 R 5000 Zennies
StepSwrd P 6400 Zennies

After you are done, head down the second ramp and talk to the Navi. He says that you have to use the PreFolder for the Preliminaries. Jack out and leave Yai's house.

[ACDC Town]
Check behind Yai's house to find the first Navi. He challenges you to a fight.

  • Battle: Mettaur2 (60 HP), WindBox (100 HP), Boomer (70 HP)
Try to take out the WindBox first, as it can be incredibly annoying when trying to dodge Boomer's attacks. After this, take out the Mettaur2 so you can easily dodge the Boomer's attacks.

Head to the school's Teacher's Lounge after the fight.

[Teacher's Lounge]
Talk to the second Navi and he will challenge you to a fight.

  • Battle: Mettaur2 (60 HP), WindBox (100 HP), HardHead (80 HP)
Once again, take out the Mettaur2 first. Follow it up with the HardHead to make this a relatively easy fight. The HardHead can only be attacked when its mouth is open.

After this fight is over, head to the SciLab.

[SciLab] There is a Navi located in the bottom corner by the vending machine. Once again, it will challenge you to a fight.

  • Battle: WindBox (100 HP), Beetle (90 HP), Ratty (40 HP)
Take out the Beetle first, as its attack has the largest range when used. After this, be careful of the Ratty's attack. Try to destroy it before it can hit you. Taking out either of these viruses will make this battle infinitely easier.

After the fight, take the elevator up to your Dad's office and jack into his computer. Take the mystery data containing the BambSwrd N and the 1000 Zennies. Jack out and head to the first part of Yoka Zoo.

[Yoka]
There's a Navi on the path behind the house Lan took to get out of the zoo earlier. You know the drill by this point.

  • Battle: Spikey (90 HP), Spikey2 (140 HP), VacuumFan (100 HP)
Take out the VacuumFan first to make this fight a lot easier. Stand in the back column to take the two Spikeys out pretty painlessly.

After the fight, leave the Zoo and head to the Ura Inn outdoor bath.

[Ura Inn]
Talk to the Navi for one last fight.

  • Battle: Swordy x 2 (90 HP), VacuumFan (100 HP)
Take the VacuumFan out ASAP. If you don't do it right away this fight can prove to be pretty difficult, as the Swordys have WideSwrd. After the VacuumFan is taken out, be wary of the Swordys' ability to use AreaGrab. It shouldn't have to get to that point, though.

After this fight, head to SciLab's Virus Lab and jack in.

[SciLab Square]
Take the warp to SciLab 2 and take the cyber metro to Yoka Square.

[Yoka Square]
Talk to the Navi at the bottom right of the square once again. It might be safe to save before doing this, as you will be doing some fighting. It is a three-round survival battle.

  • Battle #1: Quaker (80 HP), EleBall (80 HP)
Try to take out the EleBall before it can attack you, as its attack can be dangerous. Also, beware of the Quaker's ability to make you unable to move when it shakes the ground.
  • Battle #2: Mettaur2 (60 HP), Beetle (90 HP), Canodumb2 (90 HP)
Like last time you fought a Beetle, try to take it out first as its attack is extremely annoying when there are other viruses. Take out the Mettaur2 next, then the Canodumb2.
  • Battle #3: Canodumb2 (90 HP), WindBox (100 HP), EleBall (80 HP)
Take out the WindBox first so you can move freely, then take out the EleBall, preferably before it can attack you. The Canodumb2 is not hard to beat after the other two are gone.

After these battles are completed, jack out and head home.

[Lan's Room]
Take care of any shopping you want to get done or anything, then go to sleep. When you wake up, MegaMan will tell Lan that he promised to help Mayl today. You will then receive and e-mail from your father saying he is going on a business trip for three days. Head to Mayl's house.

[Mayl's House]
You will find that Ms. Mari is also at Mayl's house and she also wants to test out the new Bubblewash. Higsby then appears and Mayl realizes that she told him she would work for him because she owed him for a chip he gave her. Since she is busy waiting (?), Lan must go do it. Higsby wants you to get a Wind * chip, so head to the Yoka Area.

[Yoka Area 2]
Fight a WindBox virus to get the Wind * chip. It might take a couple of tries, but once you get it head back to Higsby.

[Mayl's House]
Give the chip to Higsby, then watch the cutscene. The Bubblewash arrives and when Mayl and Ms. Mari go to turn it on they become trapped by Bubbles. Even worse is, the BubbleWash does not have a jack-in port. Go upstairs and jack into Mayl's computer.

[Mayl's HP]
Use an Unlocker (if you have one) and get the HP Memory in the upper right corner. Head to the lower part of Mayl's HP for a mystery data with 500 Zennies. Head back up and take the warp to ACDC 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
There will be a brief cutscene with MegaMan encountering BubbleMan for the first time. Turns out he is the one responsible for the Bubblewash machines, and now you have to go catch him. He jumps over Mayl's security cube and runs away. You will then receive an e-mail from Mayl giving you Roll V2 R and MaylCode. How convenient. Use MaylCode to open up her security cube and follow the path into ACDC 2.

[ACDC Area 2]
Follow the path of bubbles, which will eventually lead you into ACDC 3.

[ACDC Area 3]
The path of bubbles will take you back into ACDC 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
The path leads to the cyber metro station. Take the metro to Yoka Square, and go straight to Yoka 2.

[Yoka Area 2]
Once again follow the path of bubbles. It will lead you to Yoka 1.

[Yoka Area 1]
Continue to follow the path until you encounter BubbleMan again. There will be a short cutscene in which BubbleMan jumps across a narrow path. MegaMan will not be able to pass it, so jack out and head to SciLab.

[SciLab]
Head up the elevator into Lan's father's lab.

[Dad's Lab]
Talk to the scientist who will say that there is PresData in the computer. Jack in and talk to the program, who will send viruses at you.

  • Battle: Shrimpy x 3 (100 HP)
This battle is really easy. Just stand behind the rock at the back of the field and there should be no problems.

After the fight, the program will realize you are MegaMan and he will give you PresData. Jack out and head back to ACDC.

[ACDC Town]
Lan and MegaMan discover that the PresData is too complex for the Navi Customizer to be able to handle it. Head to Mayl's house.

[Mayl's House]
Talk to Higsby and have him look at the PresData and Navi Customizer. He says it is far too complex for him to modify. Leave Mayl's house.

[ACDC Town]
You run into a strange man (with a unique avatar, too. Hmmmm....) who takes a look at your Navi Customizer. He is successfully able to modify it. After the cutscene, add the Press program into the Navi Customizer. Now jack back into the net and head back to where BubbleMan last was. The easiest way to do this is probably by jacking into Dex's computer as his HP's warp is right next to the cyber metroline.

[Yoka Area 1]
You can now pass the narrow bridge that BubbleMan jumped across. Use an Unlocker to get the purple mystery data with Tornado L in it. Continue to follow the path of bubbles until you once again reach BubbleMan. He will build a bubble wall in front of the path that can only be destroyed using the 'Needle' key item. However, he gives the Needle to three HeelNavis who disappear after essentially telling MegaMan where they are going. You then receive and e-mail from Higsby saying that the bubbles have turned yellow and that Lan and MegaMan need to hurry up before they explode. Head to ACDC 2. The easiest way would probably be to jack out and back in.

[ACDC Area 2]
Go to the large white platform where many other events have occurred. They will make you fight a virus battle.

  • Battle: Mettaur2 x 2 (60 HP), Canodumb2 (90 HP)
Another pretty easy battle. Just stay out of the Canodumb's line of sight and you'll be fine.

After the fight, you will receive your first style change. Regardless of what it is, I would recommend keeping it and improving it, as leveling up styles helps you achieve many useful Navi Customizer programs. However, if you were given a heat style, I would recommend keeping it but using MegaMan's normal form, at least for the rest of this arc.

The HeelNavis will now leave and go to SciLab 1. Jack out and back in, then take the cyber metroline to SciLab 2 and enter SciLab 1.

[SciLab Area 1]
Walk to the large white area and talk to the HeelNavis again. They will once again attack you with viruses.

  • Battle: Spikey2 x 3 (140 HP)
Stand in the back row to avoid their fire attacks. You can tell when the Spikeys will attack by their breathing movements; if they appear to stop breathing when they are in the row you are in, move out of the way as they will be attacking you. If you have a wood style, this fight could be a bit difficult, but it isn't anything too bad.

They will once again escape from you. This time, they head to Yoka 1. Take the cyber metro to Yoka Square and head through Yoka 2 to Yoka 1.

[Yoka Area 1]
Follow the path to once again encounter the three HeelNavis by BubbleMan. They will attack you again with viruses.

  • Battle: Fishy (100 HP), Ratty (40 HP), HardHead (80 HP)
Try to take out the Fishy first, as the ice makes it difficult to avoid his attacks. Then take out the Ratty and destroy his attacks with your buster before they can hit you. After the other two are taken out, the HardHead should not be too difficult.

Upon winning this fight you will obtain the Needle. Use it to destroy the bubble. Follow the narrow path and save when you get to the end of it. After saving, approach BubbleMan. A cutscene will play, followed by a fight with BubbleMan.

This fight can be a bit of a pain at times. Make sure to shoot all of the bubbles as they come out of the hole in the middle or else they will follow you around in your area. Sometimes there will be a small swordfish-looking creature in the bubbles. When you destroy the bubbles, there creatures will swim down and damage everything in the same row as it. In addition, BubbleMan can throw small creatures into your area that act similar to Ratty's Ratton attack. Though very difficult, try to delete BubbleMan before he uses his arrow attack, as he creates a Bubble around his body that acts like a shield. If the style you got was Elec-based, this fight can potentially be much easier using your charge shot.

After the fight, there is a cutscene. BubbleMan begs MegaMan not to delete him and Lan then receives an e-mail from Higsby saying that the bubbles are about to explode. BubbleMan then tries to escape and ProtoMan shows up out of nowhere to delete BubbleMan as he is getting away.

When the cutscene is complete, head home and go into your room. You will receive an e-mail from your father explaining the style you just got. Feel free to read about it and go take care of anything else, then go to sleep.

[edit]

DesertMan Arc

DesertMan Arc

There will be a brief cutscene after you go to sleep. Chaud is at the beach looking at the water and his father approaches him. He tells Chaud to go train, but Chaud does not want to.

[Lan's Room]
When you wake up you'll receive an e-mail from N1. Apparently the N1 tournament is being held tomorrow at the beach. Lan mentions wanting to invite his friends, so go jack into your computer and head to ACDC 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
Head to the warp to Mayl's HP and step into it.

[Mayl's HP]
Head to the bottom part of Mayl's HP and talk to Roll. She can't come because she has to go buy a CD with Mayl. Oh well. Head back to ACDC 1.

[ACDC Area 1]
