The main villain of many of the games and was Dr. Tadashi Hikari best friend and rival. He is the mastermind behind WWW and Gospel. His son, Regal, would also become the main villain behind Nebula. Wily also raised Barly, the operator of Colonel. In Battle Network 1, Wily creates the net crime group WWW and summons the Life Virus with four elemental programs. In Battle Network 2, Wily shows himself as the leader of Gospel and has Sean Obihiro (operator of Freezeman EXE) to do his work. Together they try to create a clone of Bass with bug frags, but the fail and create the Gospel virus beast. Wily shows back up in Battle Network 3, where he reforms WWW and awakens Alpha and is consumed by it himself, but latter rescued. Wily's last appearance was in Battle Network 6 where he puts Cybeast Gregar and Flazar into copybots. After seeing Colonel and Iris, Colonel's little sister, give their lives to stop one of the Cybeasts, Wily decides to work along side Lan's father and creates a virus search and destroy called "Colonel" and "Iris" which also helps repair the net as well.
