Items
From Mega Man - Wiki on Neoseeker
Items are a system of handy transportation in Mega Man 2 (this was their first and only appearance, as it was replaced by the Rush system in all subsequent games).
Item 1: A levetating platform that slowly rose.
Item 2: Much Like the Rush Jet adaptor in later games, it sped accross the screen horizontally. One stage in particular was very difficult without this item, and one of the later levels was impossible without it.
Item 3: Once released, Item 3 would bounce on the ground until it ran into a wall. It would then attach itself to the wall, and slowly crawl up until Mega Man jumped off.
