Dex is the operator of Gutsman.EXE and Lan's first rival. Dex use to be somewhat of a bully and would beat Lan in net battles until Lan got his custom navi, Megaman. Dex has a little brother Chisao who is a genius and believes that Dex is the best net operator in the world.
His navi GutsMan is a large hulking net navi that uses powerful attacks. His fists can function as rockets and a powerful hammer. They constantly train in the hopes of one day defeating Lan and MegaMan.
