Plot Summary
After several years of living in ACDC Town, Lan and his family are moving to Cyber City, the location of his father's new job. Lan meets new friends at his new school while MegaMan befriends new Navis on the net, though both characters manage to keep in touch with old friends.

Cyber City is renowned for it's famous technological experiments, but all is not well in the town as the return of an evil organization prompts MegaMan back into action when the school is hacked.

Lan and MegaMan must stop evil once again, but this time they'll be fighting against a former friend as a familiar character makes a return to the series!

Gameplay Summary
The Battle Network series returns with new chips, a new chip system, and a new Cross Navi System.

First, chips are now limited by their size in MB. The lower the MB, the more you can have.

Additionally, MegaMan no longer needs to sacrifice a chip and one of his five chip selection slots to cross with a Navi. The new Cross System makes transforming MegaMan into a form similar to another Navi is now unlimited by turns and easy to use!

The game features several mini-games and sidequests with the return of the Job BBS in addition to being able to control five other Navis including MegaMan throughout the game which will become a key element in playing.

New Copyroids let you bring MegaMan into the real world to perform feats a mere human can't.

Key Terms
Battle Chip - Small pieces of data able to cause damage to viruses or other navis. They can also be used to heal MegaMan and change the field of battle. Always coded with a letter or asterik.
example: Sword S, Cannon A, Recov80 *

Sub Chip - Small pieces of data that MegaMan uses while navigating the net. They can be used to heal, uncode data, and more.
example: MiniEnergy, Unlocker

Folder - Holds thirty battle chips; MegaMan can only have one folder equipped at a time.
example: Battle Network 6: Hall of Fame Folders

"Jacking In" - another term for connecting to the cyberworld via the Personal Exploration Terminal
example: "Jack in! MegaMan, execute!"

Navi - Net-Navigator, a virtual piece of data capable of navigating in the cyberworld. Navis normally follow instructions received from their respective operators.
examples: MegaMan.exe is Lan's Navi; ProtoMan.exe is the navi of Chaud

Operator - the human in charge of controlling and sending commands to the navi
examples: Lan is MegaMan's operator; Higsby is the operator of NumberMan

PET - Personal Exploration Terminal, used by operators to control and communicate with their navis in the cyberworld

Virus - an unfriendly, hostile piece of data that can be found lurking around in the cyberworld; MegaMan often encounters these and is forced to delete them. They often drop battle chips once defeated.
examples: Metool; Canodumb

Cross - A powerful ability to cross the spirit of one Navi into another. This ability can only be done once the operator and Navi commune with the soul of the Navi being crossed with.
