The creation of Mega Man in 1987 introduced the Blue Bomber to the world and created a fan base for 15 years. The success has established Mega Man as Capcom's official Mascot, and seen the launch of a dozen titles across multiple platforms.

With more than 20 million units sold worldwide, the strength of the franchise can also be measured by the volumes of fan art, licensed toys and merchandise. The Mega Man also holds the record as being the longest running animated television series based on a video game character. Mega Man went 3D in September 1998 in Mega Man Legends when our hero appears in fully rendered environments for the first time ever.
