MAVERICK DATA

In Mega Man X8, the Mavericks are the bosses. Most Mavericks are weak to a specific weapon. The appropriate weapon will deal more damage when used against that Maverick. Axl's weapons deal less damage that X's and Zero's.

There are three stages to a Maverick: normal, crazy, and hyper. In normal mode, the Maverick is calm and has basic attacks . In crazy mode, the Maverick is surrounded by red flames. The Maverick's attacks will become more complex and difficult to evade. In hyper mode, the Maverick is surrounded by dark flames. In this stage, the Maverick will perform its/his/her ultimate attack. On Easy difficulty, the Mavericks don't go into hyper mode. On Hard, the Mavericks go into hyper mode sooner than on Normal.

Crab Hammer - punches twice with its claws.

Avalanche Yeti (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Central White
Type : Ice

Japanese Name: Ice-Snow Yetinger Avalanche Yeti specializes in ice attacks. He resides at the South Pole and wishes to clean up the environment there. As leader of the Environmental Testing Center, his job is to protect the South Pole from invading enemies. Weakness: Thunder Dancer/Raikousen/Plasma Gun Obtain: Drift Diamond/Hyouryuushou/Ice Gattling Attacks:

Precious Ice - fires ice crystals all over the ground and opposite wall. (Normal)

Tackle Attack - attempts to tackle you. (Normal)

Shouryuuken - hides beneath the snow and rises for an uppercut attack. (Crazy)

Ice Tackle - surrounds himself with ice and attempts to tackle you. (Crazy)

Drift Diamond - creates snowflakes that slowly fall. (Hyper)

Bamboo Pandamonium (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Booster Forest
Type : Wood

Japanese Name: Bamboo Pandemonium Bamboo Pandamonium is a very large Maverick with explosive capabilities. He once controlled the development of space materials. Due to recent failures, he has abandoned this job and hidden himself in a forest. Weakness: Melt Creeper/Enkoujin/Flame Burner Obtain: Green Spinner/Youdantotsu/Blast Launcher Attacks:

Green Spinner - shoots green rockets at you. The rockets return from above for a second attack. (Normal)

Hyper Bamboo - summons sharp bamboos from the ground. (Normal)

Punch Combination - does a combo of punches. (Normal)

Bomb Cannon - fires three bombs from his back. (Crazy)

Claw Pierce - charges his fist and quickly plunges his claw into you. (Hyper)

Twin Bombs - fires 6 bombs from his back, two at a time. (Hyper) Note the "a" in Pandamonium.

Burn Rooster (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Inferno
Type : Fire

Japanese Name: Burn Kokekokker Burn Rooster has a very bad temper and tends to stomp on nearby objects. His burning rage overwhelms him at times, and he loses control. Rooster's arena consists of a facility inside a volcano. Here, Rooster uses his fire abilities to melt waste materials. Weakness: Drift Diamond/Hyouryuushou/Ice Gattling Obtain: Melt Creeper/Enkoujin/Flame Burner Attacks:

Enkoukyaku - does a downward flaming kick. (Normal)

Melt Creeper - stomps on the ground, releasing a trail of fire. (Normal)

Hot Head - fires his burning "hair" at you. (Normal)

Extreme Melt Creeper - creates a trail of fire that lasts twice as long. (Crazy)

Fire Entrapment - creates a column of fire on both sides. (Hyper)

Dark Mantis (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Pitch Black
Type : Dark

Japanese Name: Darkneid Kamakeel Dark Mantis attacks his prey in the dark. His ability to see in complete darkness makes him a scary and formidable foe. Not surprisingly then, he was sent to protect the underground army logistics base. Weakness: Shining Ray/Tenshouha/Ray Gun Obtain: Shadow Runner/Rasetsusen/Black Arrow Attacks:

Shadow Runer - fires a dark boomerang that homes onto you. (Normal)

Leech - grabs onto you and bites. (Normal)

Black Arrow - throws six arrows in the air. The Black Arrows come down for an attack. (Normal)

Hyper Jump - jumps from one wall to the other, lands, and throws Black Arrows. (Crazy)

Scythe Slash - jumps into the air and slashes with a huge scythe. (Hyper)

Earthrock Trilobyte (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Metal Valley
Type : Rock

Japanese Name: Earthrock Trilovich Earthrock Trilobyte has an impenetrable shell capable of blocking powerful attacks. His arena is a mineral deposit that holds rare items. His job is to mine Rare Metals from the ground. These metals are necessary for development of items in outer space (Jakob Project). Weakness: Squeeze Bomb/Juuhazan/Spiral Magnum Obtain: Crystal Wall/Rekkyoudan/Bound Blaster Attacks:

Crystal Wall - summons an orange crystal rock. (Normal)

Bound Blaster - fires a miniature blue ball that bounces across the room. (Normal)

Extreme Bound Blaster - fires multiple blue balls at once. (Crazy)

Wall Wave - summons twin purple Crystal Walls. He then pushes the walls towards you. (Hyper)

Gigabolt Man-o-War (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Dynasty
Type : Electric

Japanese Name: Gigavolt Dokragen Gigabolt Man-o-War holds the power of electricity in his hands. He has good intentions and works in the city of Dynasty. His job there is to supply electricity to the entire city. Weakness: Crystal Wall/Rekkyoudan/Bound Blaster Obtain: Thunder Dancer/Raikousen/Plasma Gun Attacks:

Jellyfish Spawn - spins around, creating numerous jellyfish. The jellyfish combine to form a larger, blood-sucking jellyfish. (Normal)

Dive Attack - swoops down for an attack. (Normal)

Plasma Gun - stretches out his hand, releasing little shocks of electricity. (Normal)

Tri-Lightning - uses his hand to shoot electricity diagonally. If the attack succeeds, you'll be surrounded in a "triangle." (Crazy)

Storm Warning - small signs of electricity appear on the elevator. Man-o-War releases a huge wave of electricity on those spots/signs. (Hyper) Gigabolt Man-o-War is also known as "Gigavolt Man-o-War."

Gravity Antonion (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Primrose
Type : Gravity

Japanese Name: Gravitate Ant-Onion Gravity Antonion can control and distort gravity and time. He has an amazingly high AI and is extremely intelligent. His intellectual knowledge makes him the head researcher of the anti-gravity lab. Weakness: Shadow Runner/Rasetsusen/Black Arrow Obtain: Squeeze Bomb/Juuhazan/Spiral Magnum Attacks:

Square Block - creates a huge block that falls on you. He then rotates the arena, allowing the block to fall again. (Normal)

Block Throw - uses his strength to throw the square block at you. (Normal)

Juuhazan - pulls out a wooden sword and slams it down on you. (Normal)

Squeeze Bomb - creates a gravity hole in the center of the screen. (Crazy)

Sticky Saliva - fires two green blobs, which split into four upon touching a solid. (Crazy)

Block Party - summons a barrage of square blocks that fall on you. (Hyper)

Optic Sunflower (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Troia Base
Type : Light

Japanese Name: Optic Flowerd Optic Sunflower is a flower-type Maverick that uses laser beams to attack. Sunflower uses the Cyber Training Terminals at Troia Base to teach and train the new generation reploids. Weakness: Green Spinner/Youdantotsu/Blast Launcher Obtain: Shining Ray/Tenshouha/Ray Gun Attacks:

Ray Laser - fires a vertical laser beam across the screen. The beam returns for a second attack. (Normal)

Cyber Ball - shoots a "net" ball that bounces around the room. (Normal)

Twin Laser - fires double vertical laser beams across the screen, one behind the other. (Crazy)

Circle Beam - fires a single laser beam 360 degrees. (Crazy)

Tenshouha - aims for you, locks on, and releases a huge blue laser beam. (Hyper) Optic Sunflower's gender is a mystery.

Vile (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Third Stage, Jakob, Sigma Palace
Type : N/A

Japanese Name: Vava Weakness: Drift Diamond/Hyouryuushou/Ice Gattling Attacks: (Fight #1 - Third stage)

Scattered Shot - shoots electrical bullets in 3 ways. Attacks: (Fight #2 - Jakob)

Scattered Shot - fires consecutive electrical bullets from his cannon. (Normal)

Triple Shot - shoots the electrical bullets in 3 ways. (Normal)

Homing Shot - shoots homing, electrical bullets. (Crazy)

Rising Flame - drops a fireball on the ground. The fireball then creates a moving flame that constantly rises and lowers. (Crazy)

Star Thunder - creates lines of electricity in 8 ways. He rotates the electricity 360 degrees. (Hyper)

Burst Shot - fires two large electrical bullets. These bullets burst into smaller bullets. (Hyper)

Shock Vision - releases two "eye" enemies. The "eye" enemies have an electrical shield. (Hyper) Attacks: (Fight #3 - Sigma Palace)

Punch Combination - does a combo of punches on the ride armor.

Scattered Shot - fires successive electrical bullets at you.

Triple Shot - shoots electrical bullets in 3 ways.

Homing Shot - fires homing, electrical bullets.

Quick Slash - dashes at you and slashes with his sword. (Normal)

Pink Shockwave - charges from inside and releases a powerful, pink projectile. (Normal)

Daggers - throws small "daggers" that ricochet across the room. (Crazy)

Rising Saber - does an uppercut with his sword. (Crazy)

Fire Vision - lights the ground on fire using a red beam from his eye. (Hyper)

Devil Sigma (needs to be ported to the wiki!)

Stage : Sigma Palace
Type : Dark

Blue Ring - fires nine blue rings from his hand, three at a time. (Normal)

Surprise Slash - teleports and reappears with a downward slash. (Normal)

Fire Vision - lights the opposite wall on fire with a red beam from his eye. (Crazy)

Purple Shockwave - charges from inside and releases a powerful, purple projectile. (Crazy)

Blue Ring #2 - fires six blue rings from his hand, one at a time. (Crazy)

Blue Ring #3 - fires 3 rotating rings. (Crazy)

Rising Slash - does an uppercut with the Sigma Blade. (Crazy)

Lunatic Slash - jumps up and down, slashing with the Sigma Blade. (Hyper)
